Bill Sewell Complex
This beautiful historical suite of buildings in the heart of Geraldton was formerly the Victoria District Hospital and later the Geraldton prison.
The complex was constructed in stages beginning in the mid-1850s. From 1887 to 1966 these buildings were part of the Victoria District Hospital, and then were used as a regional prison until 1984.
After major restoration the complex was reopened in 1988 and is now managed by the National Trust, housing a host of businesses and organisations.
The Geraldton Voluntary Tour Guides run a 40 minutes guided tour of the complex (including the Old Gaol & Craft Centre) on Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm, donations are welcome.
